3-Year-Old Playing Near Ice Cream Shop Disappeared Into A Grease Pit And Drowned

An afternoon trip to the local Ice Cream Parlor turned in to tragedy for one family from Auburn, Alabama.

The Andrews family has been left reeling after a freak accident has left them to grieve the loss of their 3 year old daughter.

Sadie Grace Andrews was outside of a local Ice Cream parlor in the town of Auburn when police say the toddler must have fallen through the lid of one of the grease traps on the property. The grease traps are reportedly dug six feet down and it is suggested that Sadie fell through the lid, in to the trap.

The little girl was originally reported missing because no one had been aware she had fallen in to the grease trap, but police are treating the death as accidental.

Now her parents and five siblings are the rest of their family are trying to come to terms with the accident.

Sadie Grace Andrews was just 3 years old when a tragic accident outside a local ice cream parlor took her life this past weekend.

The toddler was playing with her siblings outside of Bruster’s Real Ice Cream when she fell in to a grease trap, AL.com reports.
