Hilary Duff is opening up about single parenthood and it isn’t easy.

The 29-year-old dons the cover of Redbook magazine, with an interview that reveals more about Duff’s life as a single mother.

Duff opens up about co-parenting son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie. Hilary and the retired hockey pro separated two years after their only child was born in 2012, as well as the challenges of being a single mom.

Although Duff and Comrie are amicable, Duff admits it’s not always easy.
