Almost every parent I know sends their child to School with the understanding that the teachers and faculty will look out of their kid’s best interest. Sure, sometimes that might mean disciplining your kid when he or she gets a little cranky, but the parent-Teacher relationship should be built on mutual trust. Both parties should understand that schools are there to assist us in growing our children. They aren’t there to make drastic decisions for us.
For this reason, it was shocking to hear that one teacher in Ottawa made an unthinkable change to his student’s appearance without Permission.
