The bridge which was closed on July 24, 2020, after a survey reviewing an urgent repair. The result of the site survey reviewed the bridge needs urgent replacement of weak balancing springs. Thanks to his excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for good administration and putting the safety of Lagos people first. Since July 24, 2020 movement of people from the mainland to the island has been tedious. The alternative routes are not enough to contain the flux of cars in Lagos. Today, we are grateful to the present administration for quick response and completion of the maintenance project.
