Wiggle Time | Miusol Dresses

The weather is starting to warm up here in Arizona. (Yeah, yeah, say what you want, it was never really cold in the first place here, it was to me as I’ve lived here my whole life). Which means, it’s orange season! All across our beautiful valley the orange groves are producing beautiful citrus. And so naturally I had to go to one of these groves to take some pictures and give you all my thoughts on Miusol dresses!

I was lucky enough to be sent two gorgeous wiggles on opposite ends of the color spectrum. They’re both pencil dresses, but very different in style and details. The orange grove highlighted their beauty very well, and I hope you all enjoy these gorgeous images!

I do want to make a disclaimer that even though these items were gifted to me, all the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own. My readers are very important to me and I always strive for 100% honesty.

Orange Criss Cross Neck

The first beauty I got was this orange criss cross necked dress. Wow, on this color! It’s not often that more affordable vintage reproduction companies create dresses in this colorway, and this one is lovely. I find that sometimes dresses made in saturated colors can look cheap, but this one just looks luxurious. Kailey the photographer couldn’t stop saying how gorgeous it was. Luckily it translated well in pictures.

I highly enjoyed the collar on this dress. It is a very unique look, yet keeps that vintage feel to it. I think my favorite part of the whole piece is the ruching on the bottom half. For those of us with a bit of extra on our thighs and stomachs, this is a small detail that makes it a whole lot more flattering.

It was also pleasantly surprising how well this fit! My waist is very small in comparison to my hips and bust so it can be difficult to find pencil dresses that fit me well. Even the sleeves fit well without being too tight. The fabric is fairly stretchy(a hallmark of Miusol) which made it comfortable to wear. If you are between sizes you could totally size down and still have it fit without having to squeeze in.

You can get it here for $31.99! There are four other colorways including burgandy, navy blue, and black. Although if you want my opinion, get the orange! It is so stunning and completely different from a lot of other dresses out there.

Navy Blue Square Neck Button Dress

This second number is a more muted color but still just as thoughtfully made. And I shouldn’t even say muted, because navy is a classic. This dress also comes in several colors: light blue, burgandy, and black. I chose the navy because I really liked the almost military feel of the color.

The square necked button down dress is a wiggle too, but has some very different detailing. As the name suggests, this frock sports a square neckline, complete with mock buttons down the front and a hidden zipper to get it on. Don’t worry though, this dress is stretchy too, so it isn’t a task to have it fitted on your body. The sleeves aren’t three quarters, they are short, but not ca sleeves. They left me feeling covered and not like I had to be pulling or tugging on anything.

There is no ruching anywhere on this piece, but I like it because it fits the entire feel and makes a cohesive garment. One thing I did not like was that this dress tended to ride up on me the longer I wore it. This is a common problem with me when I wear pencil dresses, just because I do have thick thighs (and yes they save lives). If you are more straight up and down, or don’t have that problem with other wiggle dresses, then you should be fine.

This beauty can be purchased for $33.99 here! I adore the navy colorway but if you are into pastels go check out the light blue color. This style is elegant and streamlined and I know I will have no shortage of outfits to create with it! Because this photoshoot was meant to show off the dress, I didn’t accessorize like crazy. I wanted to keep the spotlight on the dress but you could really make some awesome looks with it.

Overall Quality

One thing I noticed about all of the dresses on Miusol’s website is that they are EXTREMELY versatile to style. Most of them are solid colors, with minimal flounces and frills.

While I do enjoy those little aspects to dresses, it is really convenient to be able to match these dresses to almost anything. They’re always great to have as staples in a vintage inspired wardrobe, especially if you are just starting out in the style. I have worn both dresses several times and each time I’ve been able to create basically a new outfit.

And, they are extremely budget friendly! You are definitely getting a good deal when you buy something from Miusol. The only concerns I have are that they are a little bit short on me, hitting right above the knee. Not egregiously so, but it could be an issue if you are are taller, and prefer your dresses to be on the longer side. I found the quality of the fabric to be very nice, and comfortable, so that was a win!

Overall, I do really like Miusol and would recommend that you go check out the website. There is an extensive selection to choose from, especially if you are into wiggle dresses. They also sell on Amazon, but the options are more limited. If you end up getting something, let me know! I love seeing all the beautiful dresses.
