I love trying new skincare whenever possible, so I grabbed these as soon as I saw them on the shelves. I got the toner and the cleansing cream from the Fine Flowers range by L’oreal Paris a couple of months ago while walking through the duty-free aisles. I tried the testers that were available and absolutely loved the fragrance. Only now did I get a chance to try them out. So read on to find out why I love this product and can’t wait for them to be available in India because I’m running out of them very quickly.

The L’oreal Paris Fine Flowers cleansing range works quickly and leaves you with soft, comfortable and fresh skin.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS:

Products with a delicate blend of fine flowers. The L’oreal Paris laboratories have selected and combined extracts of rose, jasmine, and lotus in these luxurious cream and toner. These ingredients help attain soft, soothed and fresh skin every day.

FINE FLOWERS CLEANSING CREAM: (Dry and Sensitive skin)

This is an innovation in cleansing which has been inspired by professional makeup removal rituals. The cream has a rich luxurious texture that melts into the skin when massaged, removing even the most resilient makeup without drying out the skin.

ROSE– known for its soothing and comforting properties.

JASMINE – renowned for its protecting and moisturizing properties.

FINE FLOWERS CLEANSING TONER: (Normal to Combination skin)

The fresh texture invigorates the skin and eliminates the last traces of impurities for a perfectly cleansed complexion.

PACKAGING AND PRODUCT:

Cleansing cream:

It comes in a light pink tub with a screw cap. The tub is quite sturdy and has a lot of product in it. The cleansing cream is a very very light shade of pink and very rich and thick in consistency. It is one of those products where a little goes a long way and hence this can last you for a very long time. It has a beautiful scent that lingers on the skin even after use.

Cleansing toner:

The toner comes in a light pink transparent bottle with a mint green flip lid. The lid is strong and ensures that no product gets spilled. The toner is milky white in color with a tinge of light pink to it. The transparent packaging lets us see how far we’ve used up the product. And as for the fragrance, it is very light and refreshing just like the cleansing cream and it leaves you smelling fresh.

HOW TO USE:

Cleansing cream:

Massage the cleansing cream onto face and neck, using circular motions. Sweep a cotton pad over the skin to remove the excess. Avoid the eye area.

Cleansing toner:

Morning and evening after cleansing, apply to a cotton pad and sweep over face and neck. Avoid the eye area.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:

I’ve been an ardent fan of Loreal Paris for years. And this range just makes me fall more in love with their products. I use the toner twice a day and it helps give me a clean canvas to apply makeup in the mornings and helps attain a freshly cleansed skin in the evening. It leaves my skin soft and nourished and does not dry it out. It doesn’t do a great job at curbing the oiliness because after a couple of hours my skin does tend to get oily. The cleansing cream goes onto the skin quite thick, but once it has been massaged into the skin it turns into a more lighter, oily texture while breaking down the makeup. DO NOT use this to take off your eye makeup. It left me with stinging red eyes.  But other than that, the cleanser does a great job at cleaning my skin. It does not leave my skin feeling dry, it actually makes it feel very greasy so I always wash it off with a mild face wash.

I’ve never had any problems with the products in this range. They never broke me out or left my skin feeling overly dry or greasy.

PROS:

• Does a great job at cleansing and leaving skin feeling moisturized.
• Refreshes, tones and nourishes the skin
• Sturdy packaging.
• Light fragrance that helps you feel fresh and clean.
• The toner helps get rid of whatever makeup is left on the skin.
• Doesn’t cause any irritation.

CONS:

• Not available in India
• Bulky packaging makes it not travel-friendly
• The cleanser does not remove all of the makeup. There will be some residue left.
• Since the cleanser is very rich and thick, it’s better to wash it off with some water, if not it would leave a sticky film on your face.
• Not recommended to remove eye makeup as it will sting and irritate your eyes.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

If you’re looking to try out a new product I suggest you give this one a chance. But if you don’t like overpowering floral scents, then this is not the product for you. As for me, I will definitely be repurchasing them.
