The CG22EASSLP 21.1cc 2 Stroke Gas Powered Straight Shaft Grass Trimmer is a Hitachi Weed Eater with serious power. It is also designed to be easier to start than most other trimmers.
Unlike other comparable trimmers, this weed eater has a powerful and reliable commercial-grade engine that can handle any garden maintenance job at home. PureFire technology keeps engine emissions at a minimum. The S-start system makes this gas-powered weed eater easy to start, reducing the amount of pull force needed to ignite the engine by 50%. 14.9 ounces of fuel – a full tank of gas – will keep the engine and cutting string going for at least two hours’ worth of trimming and weeding time. The tank is also protected from damage by a protective cover. A 4-inch semi-automatic head contains the 0.095-inch co-polymer cutting line, with up to 13 feet of line available for use at any time.
This weed eater is comfortable to use. There is very little vibration thanks to the anti-vibration system – the device can be left on the ground while it is on without any fear of it skipping away – allowing the user to trim away for a long time with little discomfort. This weed eater is also lighter than other gas-powered tools. While it is still a hefty 18 pounds, it is still light enough to be used for long periods of time. The long 60-inch steel drive shaft allows the user to reach further and cut away hard to reach weeds without moving very much.

Very pleased with this purchase, great value, hard to believe this comes with a 7 year warranty!
First things first, it is light-weight compared to my old Poulan. It’s not feather weight, but for the power, I don’t think it gets much better. I ran the machine for 45 minutes straight. (I have almost two acres of mostly trees and a lot of fencing). My arms were tired, but the fact I could run the machine that long without my arms falling off is remarkable.
The engine and power transmission are very smooth with little vibration. You can set the unit down on the ground while running without it bouncing away. Throttle control is perfect and precise. You will be running this unit at half-throttle most of the time, unless you like stripping bark of your trees.
String feeder works fine, I had to bump it a few extra times, but I was using the line that came with the machine…………………………………..
