Assault Fitness Australia were lucky enough to spend the day with “Second Fittest Women on Earth” Tia-Clair Toomey, discussing all aspects of her training in the lead up to the 2017 Crossfit Games.
Watch how Tia talk about her journey to the Olympics and becoming the “Fittest Woman on Earth” with Assault Fitness Australia. Here we get an insight into Tia’s strategy during event 1 at the Crossfit Regionals in Wollongong.
The team at Assault Fitness asked Tia what she thought of the Assault AirRunner after Event 1 at Regionals. Tia gives us a quick insight into how she adapted to the AirRunner so quickly and goes through some technique tips for running on the Airrunner.
Tia and the rest of the Crossfit Athletes had never used the Assault AirRunner before, with Event 1 set to be the maiden voyage for all athletes. No one knew what to expect but all apprehension was pushed to the side when each athlete used the AirRunner for the first time.

Tia mentions that she went out “really hot” on the AirRunner in Event 1, until she found her groove and eventually relaxed a bit more and found a very comfortable rhythm.
The feedback so far is that the Assault AirRunner is the first manual treadmill to actually mimic the feel of running on the road. It not only creates this feeling of running outside but also helps to correct poor running form, getting you into the correct posture and position for safe, comfortable running.
