You guys, what happened to our fall weather? Seriously, check out our forecast for today:
Crazy! And also funny that the news story underneath is getting ready for the first snowfall… it needs to get a lot colder before that happens.
Speaking of things I love (snow!) —> talking about some things that I recently discovered that I want to share with you.
I’ve really been trying to expand my music horizons (remember when I lived in NYC and listened to Lil Wayne for seriously two years straight?) and came across this site, Music-Map. Type in someone that you like to listen to, and it creates a map of people that are closely related so you can find new artists and music to check out. I’ve found some good people so far!
—> Jaybird X3 Sport Headphones
A few weeks ago, the folks over at Jaybird sent me a pair of the X3 Sport Headphones. I don’t listen to music every time I run, but with all the long runs for ultra training, I’ve started listening to music + podcasts more often than I did previously.
That being said, I’ve always had issues finding headphones that don’t die because of sweat + stay in my ear (I have a tragus piercing), and these have been amazing. Highly recommend.
—> BFF Grain Free Cat Food
The folks at Weruva sent me a nice gift basket of Bff Grain Free Cat Food for my kitties. I’ve talked a little bit about how my boy Apollo has been sick this summer… he went deaf in June and just hasn’t been the same (shakes his head a lot, doesn’t really eat, sleeps a lot) but the vet can’t find anything wrong with him. I think he’s just getting old.
That being said, he LOVES the BFF Grain Free Cat Food. I love this stuff because it doesn’t have carrageenan in it, which is this chemical that they put in pet food that has been linked to causing cancer. I didn’t even know about this until a few years ago, and it makes me so mad that they put this in food! Ugh. Anyways, check it out if you need some good food for your kitties.
—> Gerolsteiner Sparkling Detox!
This week is the Gerolsteiner Sparkling Detox, and it’s been so fun connecting with everyone and being a part of it! If you want details, check it out HERE — it’s not too late to join in!
I mean, I guess I can’t complain about the hot weather too much… gives me a chance to enjoy some pool time.
—> This makes me smile.
—> Chameleon Cold Brew
File this under things that I usually don’t drink, but with #alltherunning for the ultramarathon, sometimes I need a little bit extra energy so I drink Chameleon Cold Brew. I usually mix it with coconut milk and have a small glass… it’s amazing how much energy this stuff gives me! One day, I had some after work and within two hours, my apartment was spotless.
