Why Brendan Meyers Is One Of The Most Motivating Calisthenics Practioners

Former collegiate Football star, Brendan Meyers knows a thing or two about what it means to overcome adversity and go on to perform as a top athlete. As a high school football player, a dream 4 years in the making, he suffered a severe concussion and was dropped from the team.

For a full year after the accident, he experienced serious mental fatigue and confusion, not even recognising the people before him. This pulled him into a dark place. He reflects on this moment in one of his Instagram pictures, "This is a time when my life transformed. I almost killed myself 3 weeks prior to this image. I remember walking around mad at everyone and anything... it gives me goosebumps talking about it now."

But Meyers didn't give in and was able to recover, going on to play division 1 football at Florida Atlantic University. As he started gaining a serious following on social media, and realising the potential of his message, he made the decision to depart from his football career and pursue an entrepreneurial path in inspiring others to make positive changes in their lives.

Meyers did, however, complete his Exercise Physiology degree and continued to build a massive social media following of over 2 million. In the years to follow, he launched several LLCs which intertwine his holistic approach to physical and mental health. The ever popular Calisthenics movement is the most successful where he helps to transform lives all around the world.

He's well known for his YouTube and Instagram channels where he shares inspirational snippets alongside some serious strength and calisthenics skills. Meyers has overcome numerous physical injuries and depression to become an inspirational leader worth following.
