I’m gonna give you the online Marketing tutorial that will make you a fucken genius… and I’m gonna do it for free, because that is that is why I put up this blog years ago – so you could finally read shit that makes a difference.

When I started online, I tried to read a few blogs until I got sick of all that fluff and sad to myself:

“Vladi,  one day when you have the time and cash for it, you have to create a blog that is not just a marketing tool but a hub for people (like you) to really learn online marketing.”

And here we are. I’ve written a few hundred articles so far people usually charge for, but I love giving it away. You will get what I’m saying one day when you get where I am… or maybe you are like me and get me now.

Anyway, let’s get straight to the tutorial cause I can’t wait.

Setting up a blog

Look, you have to understand setting up your site is really not that hard. I get questions about that all the time but never about how to get traffic to that site (will get to that later).

Just get a domain (even though not that important, it has to be something you like), choose a reliable host (go to tools to see what you need, switching hosts is the worst and you have to start with the best from the beginning… and believe me, if you choose something like hostgator, you are going to need to switch… just thinking about those fuckers makes me mad), install a theme, if you can’t code, and get to what matters  – marketing.

You need to optimize that site and make it convert, but that is something your host will do for you (that’s why it has to be a good one).

… and search whatever else you need on the blog

Go to Tools to see which theme and host you need… and your timing, by the way, can’t be better – they are now one company and you can save a shit ton of money and have a killer site for pennies.

Things have really changed since I started online, I had to pay thousands for what now costs pennies, I really envy you. That is why I’m telling people putting up a site is the easy part, it’s not the 90s.

Traffic

Now, that’s something to talk about… promoting is what really matters. People have to know about you somehow.

If you have money, just get Semrush, start an SEO campaign (if you are into SEO), or even better  – a PPC campaign, and start killing right away.

If not, blogging is the only way to go.

That’s what I chose back in the day when I started online and had two nickels (literally) on me.

I have to warn you, though – it’s not easy and takes quite some time.You have to stick with it and really like it. It took me years to build this blog.

Once you build it, it’s an asset for life, but it takes a lot of blogging to get there.

…or as often as you can. Lots of content is what makes a blog powerful.

Even if no one reads it in the beginning, which is normal, you should write a lot. Google loves content, that’s what they rank in their search… and they love big blogs.

You need lots of content to get that search traffic, that’s just how it is.

I know SEOs always say: “writing content and waiting for it to rank is like throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping for them to stick”, or whatever the fuck clever think they try to come up with, but you should know I have done almost no SEO and have lots of articles on page one of Google.

And even though I haven’t touched the blog in a while, it still hold strong and ranks for numerous keywords. You most likely came here from Google.

Write lots of content and Google will love you for it.

2 Read the SEO section

I’ve written a lot of articles that will tell what really matters when it comes to SEO. 

3 Optimize your blog for conversions

In the world of marketing, beautiful doesn’t really mean much. What matters is conversions.

Go to Tools to see what you need to turn your blog into a marketing machine.

4 Keep it simple

I don’t know why this is so hard for so many people, but it’s the only thing you should do to make people fall in love with you blog.

Talk to them like I’m talking to you.

Make the blog easy to read and look at.

Keep your articles tight and sweet. If you are into writing poems, then do it, but don’t just write long articles because someone says so.
