Who Uses a One Page Business Plan?

Tags: business

Nearly all Business experts agree on one thing: the importance of crafting a business plan to enable you to create or design the future you desire. One that will help you get from here-to-there. Yet plenty of companies plunge into business without a formal plan.

There are many reasons why we don’t, but at the end of the day, if we are unable to succinctly and articulately able to describe what we do, why we do it and where we plan to go, our ability to obtain capital, attract talent or meet our growth and revenue goals, won’t materialize.

In her presentation at our July webinar series, “Let’s Bend the Curve with the One Page Business Plan,” Allison Tabor, founder of Coppia Communications, not only answered the question, but shared the five essential elements of the One Page Business Plan:

• What are we building? (Vision)
• Why do we exist? (Mission)
• What will we measure? (Objectives)
• How will we grow and improve? (Strategies)
• What work needs to get done? (Action Plans)

The One Page Business Plan can work for small businesses, startups and entrepreneurs as well, by providing necessary structure to take a “wish” into an actionable, strategic plan to make it come into reality.
