Glassdoor, a job and career website has recently published a certain list showing 25 companies which are found in the US and are said to be the highest paying farms according to the surevy done in this year, 2016.
According to this website, their report is based upon each company’s Median Total Compensation, compiled by considering the salary reports at every and each company in which anonymous workers have voluntarily shared both they base payment among other forms of compensations such as tips, bonuses, commission among other incomes over the recent years.
This report only contains the information of the employees which were extracted between the year 2015, March 30th and the year 2016, March 29th.
The bottom of the list was dominated by Consulting and Tech companies.
“This report re3inforces that high pay continues to be tied to in-demand skills and higher education, which in part is why we see several companies on this list among the Consulting and technology industries”, said the Glassdoor’s Chief economist, Dr. Andrew Chamberlain.
“Salaries are high in the sky at consulting companies due to barriers of entry in such field, which refers to the employers who want the top consultants to have personal contacts, reputation and special skills and knowledge. When it comes to technology, we continue to witness unprecedented salaries as the war for talent is still very active, largely due to the ingoing shortage of highly skilled workers required”, added Dr. Andrew.
