PATNA: The state police of Bihar revealed that they have found a concrete evidence to prove Pakistan’s external spy agency ISI’s involvement in the two recent rail accidents that took place in Uttar Pradesh, killing 151 and injuring 200 others.
The statement from the Bihar police comes after a recent arrest of three criminals Motilal Paswan, Umashankar Patel and Mukesh Yadav at the Indo-Nepal border. According to the police, the accused were working under an ISI agent, also a Nepalese citizen based in Dubai.
Speaking to the media, SP Jitender Rana said, “We have arrested them in connection with a past case, for placing a cooker bomb on the railway track near Ghorasahan. Later, in our investigation, we have found that they were working under the ISI and have confessed their involvement in the derailing of Indore-Patna and Ajmer-Sealdah Express trains in Uttar Pradesh last year”.
The revelation from the Bihar Police thrown open the mostly unseen security loophole in the country, the Indian railways. It is fairly impossible to safeguard all the railway stations and the railway lines in the country. However, looking at the investigation report of the Bihar police it is evident that the ISI has changed its tactics by aiming the social order. On the other hand, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been closely following the case details to figure out any major conspiracy involved.
“Our team of investigators have already reached Patna and are in touch with the local police. We will examine all the details and interrogate the accused. If the involvement of the ISI is found then the National investigation Agency will take over the case from the local police for further investigation”, an NIA official confirmed.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), is currently investigating the two rail accidents in Uttar Pradesh on order from the Railway ministry, the Times of India reports.
