What is BAC2020?

Bitcoin Events, organisers of the annual blockchain and cryptocurrency conferences in South Africa, since 2015 is hosting its 6th annual conference. The event, Blockchain Africa Conference 2020, is on the 11 and 12 March 2020 in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Who’s Who at BAC2020

Chris Becker is Investec’s blockchain technologies specialist. His main focus is set on product development and strategy for the Private Bank. Before moving into this role, his career spanned more than a decade as a macro-economic strategist to institutional asset managers, hedge funds and commercial bank FICC desks. Chris co-founded Mises Institute South Africa in 2011 and holds an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Stellenbosch University.

Tone Vays, content creator, derivatives trader and consultant, has worked on Wall Street for almost 10 years. He started out as a Risk Analyst at Bear Stearns and later became a VP at JP Morgan Chase in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Furthermore, his expertise is in Economic Trends, Trading and Risk Analysis. Ever since getting involved in the Crypto Currency ecosystem in early 2013, he has been very active in spreading the relevance and importance of this technology as it helps promote economic freedom.
