Twitter is all about building relationships with others, expanding your circle of influence, and yes, more importantly building RELATIONSHIPS.

The better or closer your relationships with others become on Twitter, the more likely that people are going to retweet your posts, tweets, visit your Facebook page, blog, websites, join your lists and more importantly buy your products.

So how do you expand your reach and rapidly grow your Twitter followers while wielding (hold and use) influence over your followers? Here are 5 tips to consider…

Tip #1:

Be Yourself to Build your Business with Twitter.

What is wrong with bieng yourself? Many times people doubt their capabilities and think they’re somehow ‘not good enough,’ so they try to pretend they are someone else. The problem is that when you’re not yourself, people get to know that and can smell a phony one a mile away.

Don’t try to be Mr. Perfect nor should you try to be Mr. Know-it-All because nobody will buy such a nonsense, and even if they were, they want to know REAL people with real lives, real challenges, and who say real things. Always stay true to yourself because you are a one-of-a-kind original, and as they say, everyone else is already taken anyway.

Tip #2

To Build your Business with Twitter Appreciate Your Followers.

To draw your follower’s attention, Re-tweet their best tweets (or at least the tweets that you think that it is the most important to them.) Give them your recommendation for others to follow them. Or even better send them a direct message and try to friend them.

In other words, don’t just interact – promote and interact with others and don’t expect anything in return. Why? Because the more value you can give to others, the more they will like you, appreciate you, and want to reciprocate.

Think about it. If someone promoted for you, woudn’t you be happy and your curiosity drives you to find out more about this person?

Tip #3:

To Build your Business with Twitter Connect with the Big Dogs.

People hang around Influential persons, Whatever your niche is all about, find influential people in your niche and start engaging and interacting with them. When you’re being seen with people in authority people tend to see you as an authority as well. It is one of the quickest ways to draw attention. That’s when your audience will also notice you, and when they do notice you, you’ll gain followers who have interest in your particular niche.

Tip #4:

Engage Engage Engage.

Whenever someone gets in touch with you, get back to them. As a matter of fact answer everyone who tries to engage with you, and see how many followers you can engage with. You never know who is going to become your next big client or customer – it could be that new guy on the block with only a few followers or it could be the seasoned Twitter person with tens of thousands of followers.

Tip #5:

Add a Heap of Pizzazz.

As it was mentioned earlier, you need to be yourself, and this is by far is the best advice anyone can give you. But it is not a problem if you take yourself up a notch. You are distinctive and unique, so go ahead and amplify that distinctive uniqueness and be a little bit bigger than life.

Be more friendlier than you are in the real world, try to attract more attention because you have confidence and style, go ahead and tell your opinions (your REAL opinions, that is) and by all means, do STAND OUT from the rest of the crowd. Be distictive. That last thing you want to do is be a wallflower.

If you’re shy in life, don’t worry too much about it, that’s okay. This is the Internet after all, and so it’s not like trying to be the “life of the party” in real life – it’s more like sketching yourself in the best light, while have most of fun out of it, and the least inhibitions that makes one self-conscious unable to act in a relaxed and natural way.

Frankly, Twitter is the best place for people – it’s a one of the greatest ways to meet a lot of people with absolutely no risk at all. After all, you’re not going to send out that tweet until you’re certain it says exactly what you want it to say – so you’ll get it right every time.

Tip #6:

Build your Business with Twitter while Having Fun.

Need I say more? Having fun can mean different things to different people. People like to hang out with people who are having fun, some people like to just sit around casually, watch TV, play games, or just talk and Twitter is no different than that. So go ahead, have fun, let the good times roll, and watch your Twitter follower numbers increase accordingly!
