You probably recognize this title from a very popular Book, by Tim Ferriss, a best-seller and a very smart choosing for the cover, certainly attention grabber... who wouldn`t want to have a 4 hour work week, is it possible or was it just a good line to sell the book?
I actually, read it, I loved the book and this not a review, the purpose of this article is to uncover the truth behind the possibility of someone working towards a 4 hour work week.
Let`s face it, most people have to wait for retirement to enjoy life, the time when they actually can touch their life savings, if they have any, the point where they can really live on their own terms and finally appreciate the good things in life. Why does it need to be like that, why not start enjoying life when you`re young?
That was one of the questions I asked myself when I went through the military and eventually got caught in a real estate selling career I didn`t enjoy, not so much because of the cold calling, chasing people and knocking on doors to get attention, not because I didn`t enjoy real estate, I was simply because I didn`t want to wait that long to enjoy life and live on my own terms.
I did the "just get by" experiment, the "just be happy" formula and the "live to pay the bills" attempt and neither of those served me well... I thought that living on my own terms and working only a few hours a week was too good to be true!
Pay the price today, so that you can pay any price tomorrow. - Grant Cardone
You can certainly have a 4 hour work week but... It doesn`t come easy and most people are not prepared to sacrifice a few years of their lives to achieve the Lifestyle they dream of... actually, most of them, spend an entire life just dreaming, anyway, the idea of preparing myself for combat, as a soldier, can certainly be applied to this principle, putting the effort to prepare yourself for a flexible lifestyle is required. There is no such thing as a quick fix or get results fast when it comes to creating a limitless lifestyle, everything in life worth of value comes at a price and the price of freedom is presented with a very high tag number. Getting ready to hustle, putting the work while others party and have fun is a must in the beginning of the journey, but the reward far exceeds all the struggles necessary to live a lifestyle with no boundaries.
The fact is that has never been easier like today to retire at 25 or 30 years old, with automated systems in place, leveraging the internet or other people`s positioning or success. Why start from scratch, when you can jump on somebody else`s already fixed up bandwagon?
I thought I was condemned to live a boring a life, but I woke up to the possibility of starting to create a lifestyle of freedom and flexibility by levering the internet and work towards my goals.
Starting an internet type operation was my solution to get rid of the boring lifestyle I was in and use it to control my life and to prepare myself to retire way sooner than 95% of the population... there is actually hope for those who want to live differently, that think differently and want to make a positive impact on this planet.
