Career after DIPLOMA
The Diploma in Engineering Diploma in Technical Studies (09210989898) is a technical degree below the undergraduate rank which aims to provide students with some basic knowledge of engineering, scientific, computing, mathematical techniques, a sound knowledge of English to communicate in the job field and ability to apply the basic problem solving techniques. Its duration is 3–4 years. Many countries in the world recognize it as equivalent to Inter-Science or Pre-Engineering for further studies purpose. After successful completion of Diploma in Engineering course, students can either continue further Engineering studies in undergraduate level or get employment as supervisors, foremen, sales engineers, workshop technicians, draughtsman, service station managers, auto engineers, agricultural overseers, farm managers, junior instructors, workshop superintendents etc. In most of the countries one can apply for studying diploma in engineering degree after completion of 10th grade or the secondary school certificate.

Diploma in Engineering degree can be obtained from one of the following disciplines:
·         Aeronautical engineering

In India, a diploma is a specific academic award usually earned in professional/vocational courses, e.g., Engineering, Pharmacy, Design, etc. In such cases, a diploma is specific in rank than a bachelor's degree of that discipline but equivalent to general degree in that discipline, e.g., Diploma in Engineering of Electronics Engineering is rated differently from Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering but is equivalent to Bachelor of Science in Electronics. The course structure and syllabus may be considered as a comparative with other disciplines of engineering studies. Students enter diploma courses after 10 years of school education, whereas the degree programs require 12 years of schooling.
Also diploma is concentrated for the area of study, e.g., Diploma in Engineering of Electronics Engineering may be in Advanced Communication Systems (ACS) or Integrated Circuits (IC) or Industrial Electronics (IE). Successful Engineering Studies (subject to course selection) allows articulation (also known as Lateral Entry) into the second year of Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology programs.

In India a Diploma in Engineering is a specific academic award usually awarded in technical or vocational courses e.g. Engineering, Pharmacy, Designing, etc. Studies of Diploma in Engineering is usually held in Polytechnic institutes recognized by respective State Boards of Technical Education/Examination (e.g. Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education) and/or State Departments/Directorates of Technical Educations and All India Council for Technical Education.[1] Diploma Holders can sit for the exam of Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (A.M.I.E) membership, Member of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering,Navi Mumbai which is equivalent to the BE Degree. Diploma holders are also eligible for lateral entry to the third semester Engineering Courses in various Technical Universities like UPTU, VTU, etc. Diploma holders are eligible for part-time entry to Bachelor of Engineering Courses in various Technical Universities like Sri Sai Group of Institutes (Pathankot, Amritsar, Palampur),Manipal Institute of Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia and Delhi Technological University][NTTF Technical training center].uttarakhand board of technical education, roorkie(dehradun)

AMIE = B.Tech

AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers. To put in simple words, it is a degree level examination in engineering, recognized by all State Governments, Central Govt., AICTE, UPSC etc as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. That means, those who pass AMIE examination will get equal opportunities for job as well as higher education in both Govt. and private sectors, just like a B.E or B.Tech holder. The Institution of Engineers (India), the largest multidisciplinary body of engineers in the country is the authority that prepares syllabus, conducts examination and issue certificates etc. of AMIE.

Engineering through Distance learning

The attraction with AMIE is that it is a recognized engineering degree course that can be studied in distance education style. Since this course does not demand any class room attendance, anyone who meets the specified eligibility criteria can become a graduate engineer in the least possible time and expense! Since we arrange AMIE Postal Class, this course is especially suitable for employed person, as they can study this course without being interfering with their job, whether they are in India or abroad.

AMIE-Who is eligible?

Those who wish to do AMIE must have any one of the following qualifications.
1. A recognized 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent in any branch of engineering. (No marks restriction)
OR
2. +2/HSC/PDC with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with minimum 45% marks.
Any educational qualifications equivalent to the above, are also eligible to apply for AMIE.
Those who pursue AMIE after their Diploma course are usually known as Diploma Stream Students (Senior Technician members), and others are known as Non-Diploma Stream Students (Technician members).

Branches Available

Following engineering branches are available for study
1. Chemical Engineering
2. Civil Engineering
3. Computer Science and Engineering
4. Electrical Engineering
5. Electronics & Communication Engineering
6. Mechanical Engineering
7. Materials and Metallurgical Engineering
8. Mining Engineering
9. Production Engineering
10. Textile Engineering

SYLLABUS

The syllabus of AMIE is similar to B.E/B.Tech.
The AMIE syllabus is made up of two parts:- Section A and Section B (similar to First year , Second year etc. of any formal degree course).
Those who join for AMIE should first study and clear all subjects in Section A. Based on one's qualification, the total number of subjects in Section A varies.
After passing Section A, he should study Section B. The total number of subjects in Section B is 9.
See table below
Exam Passed
Section A
Section B
Total Sub.
Max. Time
Plus Two
10
9 + Lab
19 + Lab & Project.
6 Years
3 Year's Diploma
4
9 + Lab
13 + Lab & Project.
6 Years
Hence a plus two holder has to study total 19 subjects and a Diploma holder should study just 13 papers to clear AMIE
In Section A we study subjects which are fundamental to engineering. In section B, we make specialized study in our chosen branch of engineering. When a student clears all subjects in both sections A and B. he is said to have passed A.M.I.E examination and becomes a qualified graduate engineer.

Duration

The duration of AMIE is flexible. A period of 6 years each is allowed for completing Section A and B.Since this is the maximum duration, a student who systematically studies the course can successfully finish the course in minimum time.Students who study the course under any of our coaching programme can complete the course in 4 semesters (Diploma holders) or 6 semesters (+2 holders)

Fees

The fees depends on the mode of your study. You can get all Fee Details, here.
