As we are saying goodbye to December 2016, I want to welcome all of you and wish you a Happy New Year. 2016 has been amazing. You all have been so amazing. I have enjoyed hearing what you have to say and am looking forward to all of your feedback this coming year. Here are some of the highlights from December.
December 2016 Roundup
This month we got to celebrate two amazing birthday’s. Both two of my testers Big C and G Man are a year older. To get to know them and the rest of my testers better, check out our Pinterest Board.
We started off the month with an amazing game. While the kids have loads of fun with Play on Words, we use it for all sorts of fun including spelling and phonics. This was one of the many inspirations for our new series Literacy Tuesday. Check out this months additions including Goodnight Moon, To Learn or Not to Learn Sight Words?, and Proper Letter Sounds.
Along with helping kids find a love for reading, finding good books is a must. December 2016 has had some amazing books. For kids who are learing phonics, I have a fun Phonics Word Book. In addition we had a great time with National Geographic Plant to Seed Book in addition to interactive books. Both Coloring Cute and Design Your Room will bring out the artistic side of your kids. As an added bonus, we are giving away an Emoji Adventures, a fun book your kids will love to read.
The kids also had lots of fun with STEM. While we had a great time reviewing both the Roominate Cotton Candy Carnival set as well as Emma’s Town House. I would highly recommend you check out both links as well as any other Roominate Toy. They are so much fun and super educational in so many aspects of your child’s education. If your child is looking to get into computers and coding, Maykey Makey is one amazing toy to try out.
As a side note, we have been getting into Montessori Education. I am not a Montessori educator, but I do find that a lot of her products can really help children learn. We started out using the Multiplication Board for learning the doubles of multiples. We also had fun using the Teen Beads for the desk top learning. So much fun I am looking forward to exploring more ideas.
Classical Conversations also play an amazing role in education. I love both the conversation aspect as well as group interaction it can bring. Check out how American History Cards can really add to both the home school as well as classroom routine.
Product of the Month
Along with the other amazing educational products we tested during December 2016, we would like to announce our favorite product of the month. The kids are loving playing The Contender. We have had many family game nights. In addition to The Contender, check out our full list of amazing Family Games. You never know what you will find for you and your family.
