How to Calculate Percentage through Grades?

You can understand the grading system better with the help of below table –

If Obtained Marks between Grades Points Scored for Grades
91-100 A1 10
81-90 A2 9
71-80 B1 8
61-70 B2 7
51-60 C1 6
41-50 C2 5
31-40 D 4
21-30 E1 -
0-20 E2 -

Now, you can use the following formula to calculate your percentage = CGPA * 9.5

For example, if your marks are = 10, 7, 8, 8, 6, then your total CGPA would be = 10+7+8+8+6 = 39 divided by 5 = 7.8.

For calculating the overall percentage, use the above formula and apply the values. Hence, the result will be = 8.2*9.5 = 74.1%.
