The most prime and mandatory rule of CBSE Improvement Exam 2018 is that the student must have passed the Board Exam. The failed students would not be able to appear for the exam.

The exam will be held in the forth-coming year, so the candidates would not be required to attend the school regularly. They can appear in the CBSE Improvement Exam 2018 as a private student.

As per the recently released CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2018, the results might be declared by 20th May 2018, so the CBSE Improvement Exam Form 2018 might be released in the month of July.

And as per the CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2018 for improvement exam, it will be started for class 10 in mid of July 2018.

CBSE Improvement Exam Rules & Guidelines 2018

 

CBSE Improvement Exam 2018 will be conducted only for those who have passed the board exam but are unsatisfied with their marks and willing to reappear in the exams to improve their result.

In CBSE Improvement Exam 2018, students would have a chance to re-appear in one or more subjects in the consecutive year’s board examinations.

The students who have cleared in 2017 as well as 2016 are eligible to appear for the CBSE Improvement Exam 2018.

Students who are appeared in 2017, their personal details will auto-generated by the system, but the 2016 batch candidates will need to fill their details in the online CBSE Improvement Exam 2018 application form.

Aspirants who have not passed 2017 examination, are not eligible for the Improvement Exam. They need to appear as a regular student or appear in the compartment exams.

If in any case, the student couldn’t score more marks in the improvement exam, then their best performance in both exams will be considered.

Candidates who want to appear in improvement exam can’t engage in any higher studies. He/she should be a dropper.
Important - Please note that it’s not mandatory to appear for the Improvement Exams of all subjects in order to be eligible for JEE Main.

 10 Quick Steps to Fill CBSE Improvement Exam 2018 Application Form

Candidates can perform the following steps to fill CBSE improvement exam 2018 application form in the online mode. If you want to apply for CBSE Improvement Exam must read the following steps –

First of all, you need to visit the official website.

Now, you should enter your previous year’s Board Roll Number in the first text box.

If you appear as a regular student in the exam, you have to enter your 5-digit school number in the second text box. In case, if you appeared as a private student and don’t have a school number, must enter 99999.

Now enter your examination centre code; here you need to refer previous years CBSE Admit Card.

Click on Proceed and fill up your details in the CBSE Improvement Exam Form 2018.

You can make payment either online or by E-Challan from the respective bank.

Note-down the application number and roll number for the further activity.

If you have entered any incorrect or inaccurate information in any of the fields, then an error message will be shown on the screen.

You can fill the application form only one time. If your form is already submitted, then you will not be permitted to apply again.

If the status of candidates’ application is not updated but fee amount is debited from their accounts, then they must not try to pay the fee again, neither to change the payment mode.

They are advised to first contact to their respective banks for transaction details and then send an email with the details such as – Application No., Roll No., Name of Candidate, Subject(s) Applied, Fee Amount and Transaction details to the mailing address of the Regional Office of CBSE.

To fix the issue faster, candidates must subject the email as ‘Payment status not updated – Application Number’.

Ans – If candidates have passed in practical in the main examinations, they are permitted to apply only for the theory part in CBSE class 12 Improvement Exam. And marks of practical scored in the main examination are carried forward and counted as it is.

Or if candidate have failed in practical then they have to apply for both practical and theory in the exam according to CBSE Improvement Exam Rules.
