NEET 2017 Exam Analysis- Check the Question Paper Difficulty Level

As per the NEET 2017 Paper Analysis, there were 180 objective type questions. A total of 720 marks were allotted for these questions(4 marks for each correct answer). The paper included four sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. Each section had 45 questions.

NEET 2017 Difficulty Level was from easy to moderate for the overall paper.

Most of the questions were asked in the NEET 2017 Paper were from the NCERT Books. According to the NEET 2017 Paper Analysis, the Physics section was considered as most difficult followed by Chemistry and Biology.

Highlights of NEET 2017 Paper

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2017 was conducted in 10 different languages i.e. English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Oriya, and Kannada. A total of 1090085 candidates appeared for the 2017 Exam for getting admission to 65,170 MBBS and 25,730 BDS seats in medical colleges across the country. The Exam was held at 1921 centres in 103 Cities for the duration of 3 hours in the offline mode.

NEET Analysis 2017 for Physics

The NEET Physics section was based on calculation and thus it was time-consuming. The level of questions was moderate. Due to the large no. of tricky and lengthy questions, this section was the most difficult section with respect to all other sections.

According to NEET 2017 question paper analysis, most of the questions were not straightforward and had two or more concepts interlinked. Overall, the Physics question paper was above average.

Mainly questions were taken from the topics Mechanics, Properties of Matter and Radiation, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, Current Electricity, and Optics.

NEET 2017 Exam Analysis for Chemistry

The NEET Chemistry section had mixed difficulty level for the questions. Most of the questions were asked from the NCERT syllabus.

According to NEET 2017 Analysis, the level of difficulty for this section was from easy to moderate. In this section, Questions were asked from Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry from the 11th and 12th standard.

NEET 2017 Paper Analysis for Biology

The NEET Biology Section was divided into two parts i.e. Botany and Zoology.  It was the easier section as per the NEET 2017 Analysis. Equal number of questions were asked from class 11th and 12th syllabus.

Major topics asked in the Biology were from Cell Structure and Function, Plant & Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics & Evolution, Biology in Human Welfare, Biotechnology and Ecology.
