Hindu Editorial Topic 1 : "Problem of plenty: on devising a sound agricultural policy"
  • Plenty - a large amount of something, or a large number of things or people
  • Devising - to invent a method of doing something
  • Sound - complete
  • Address - to give attention to or deal with a matter or problem
  • Severe - very serious and worrying
  • Fluctuation - frequent changes in the amount, value, or level of something
  • Boom and bust - a situation in which an economy or business regularly goes through periods of increased activity and success followed by periods of failure
  • Bumper - larger in amount than usual
  • Wholesale - relating to the business of selling large quantities of goods, especially to people who are going to sell them in a shop
