Hindu Editorial Topic 1 : "Revival risks: On economy woes"
  • Revival - the process of becoming active, successful, or popular again
  • Woe - problems and worries
  • Not out of the woods - used for saying that a situation is still difficult although it has improved
  • Dispel - to get rid of unpleasant feelings or false beliefs
  • Pall of - something such as smoke, dust, or cloud that covers an area and makes it darker
  • Gloom - the feeling of having no hope
  • Sovereign - an old unit of money in the form of a gold coin worth one pound
  • Headwind - a wind that blows in the opposite direction to the one in which you are moving
  • Fragile - easy to break or damage
  • Restock - to replace goods that have been sold or used with a new supply of them
  • Rollout - the introduction of a new product / service / law
  • Robust - strong and successful
