“Make Memes, not war”
The motto to live by in 2020s decade, Quite literally!
Aforementioned is – perhaps – an oddly autological statement. This burlesque of the famous anti-war slogan “Make Love, not war” given during the Vietnam War in 1960s is as contemporary as it can be.
In fact, it reminds me of the start of the year. It’s a pretty widely accepted argument now that 2020 has been so bad on a worldwide scale that it might as well require a different section in history going forward. But remember where it all started?
Perhaps the first one 2020 pulled out of it’s bag of tricks was the World War III speculations due to tensions between Iran and USA. And how did the world react to it? By making memes.

The first instance of “meme” being used in the sense of the “internet meme” we know of can be traced back to 1993. It was used by Mike Godwin. . . Having said that, it’s only fair that Dawkins’ definition of “meme” fits perfectly on to the “internet meme” too. . . It’s kinda SILLY, but it’s A POINT! #aSillyPoint
Perhaps, they are so well ingrained into our day-to-day lives now, that anything and everything can be turned into a meme.
And well, they do give us a good time..
