Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar was a great Indian mathematician. He got none special training in Mathematics. After then he made significant contributions in the areas of analysis and number theory too. He was the greatest mathematical thinkers in the world. Ramanujan was such a talent that not only to India but to the entire world was proud. At 33, he made many important contributions in mathematics with his wonderful and extraordinary knowledge. Because of which he is the great mathematician
Early life
Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on December 22, 1887, in Tamil Nadu in the village of Erode, named Coimbatore, in the southern part of India. He was born in a traditional Brahmin family. His father Srinivasa Iyengar was a clerk in a shop. His mother, Komal Tammial was a housewife And along with it was the singer of the local temple. He lived with his family in his old house near Sarangpani Street in Kumbakonam village.
His family house is a museum now. When Ramanujan was a year. His mother gave birth to another son Sadgopa, who later died within three months. In December 1889, Ramanujan got the disease of smallpox. Thousands of people died in the last one year. But Ramanujan soon got cured of this disease. After this, he went with his mother to stay in the parents’ house in Kanchipuram village near Madras (Chennai). In November 1891 and in 1894, his mother gave birth to two more children. But again, both died in childhood
Srinivasa Ramanujan was admitted to the local School on 1 October 1892. In March 1894, he was admitted to Tamil Medium School. Since the age of 11, Srinivasa Ramanujan himself studied mathematics for two students living on rent at home. Later he gave the SL. The study of advanced trigonometry At 13 years of age, he was the master of mathematics book. And he himself discovered many theorems. He was also given merit certificate for his contribution at 14, and it admitted several academic allowances to his school education and him with 1200 and 35 teachers at the School of Sobhar Tantra.

When Ramanujan was dissatisfied with his studies, he had a none employment opportunity, nor did he have any work to get Ramanujan’s job, nor did he have any major degree to get a job, Because of which Ramanujan’s health was getting worse every day, because of which doctors were advised rest at home. Ramanujan’s love for mathematics inspired him Ramanujan went to Madras in search of a job, but because of the twelfth failure, he got none employment. Ramaswamy met Iyer, who was a great scholar of mathematics who identified Ramanujan’s talent and then Ramaswamy Iyer arranged for scholarship as Ramanujan’s monthly salary. 25.
Ramanujan’s attachment to his mother
Ramanujan did not like to go to school in Madras, that is why he did not attend most schools. His family had also kept a watchman for Ramanujan so that Ramanujan could go to school every day. And thus within 6 months, Ramanujan Kumbakonam came back. When most of the time Ramanujan’s father used to be busy in work. Then their mother took care of their well-being.
Ramanujan had great affection for his mother. Ramanujan learned about ancient traditions and myths from his mother. He had also learned to sing religious hymns from the outset so that he could easily sing in the temple sometimes. Being a Brahmin, all these were part of their family. In Kangyan Primary School, Ramanujan was a promising student.
Prior to the age of 10, in November 1897, he passed the primary examination of English, Tamil, Geography, and Mathematics and was ranked first in the entire district. In the same year, Ramanujan went to the upper secondary school of the city, where he practiced mathematics for the first time.
Ramanujan Contributions to Ramanujan Work
In the year 1918, at the age of 31, he wrote 120 formulas of mathematics and his research was done by English professor G.H. Send to Hardy. Hardy read that research and was highly impressed with those research papers and invited him to come to Cambridge University. Then in October 1918, Ramanujan was given a membership in Trinity College. He was the first Indian to do this.
Ramanujan’s death
Ramanujan breathed his last life on 26 April 1920 due to tuberculosis. At the time of his death, he was only 33 years old. Losing Srinivas Ji was an irreparable loss for the whole world.
