Bharat Interface of Money (BHIM) is an Indian money transferring app developed by National payment Corporation of India (NPCI) to make simple, fast and secure transactions through Unified Payments Interface (UPI). BHIM app allows its users to make direct Bank transfer to a another account by UPI ID or scanning QR Code or with a combination of account number and IFSC Code. One can also request money through the app from a UPI ID. The main aim behind its development is to facilitate and promote cashless transactions. The app was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on 30th December 2016, to digitalize payment system in India. Recently, BHIM has added some value added feature like Balance check, Pay Bills, IPO, Donate and gift making it a great payment app.
