Curriculum, Objectives of Event Management and Development

Our curriculum has planned and designed in conjunction with active participation from industry stalwarts.  The syllabus designed to arm students in developing skills like being open to collaboration, creativity, willingness to adapt to situations, determination, ability to multitask, good networking and communication skills.

Students bestowed with an integrated perspective of management functioning and a fair amount of exposure to real-life cases and technical know-how about the event industry. We provide students with the practical skill sets and knowledge required to successfully plan events using the suitable approaches and techniques that will make an event successful. Who are the Ideal Candidates for Event Management?

To get enrolled in our Event Management course, the applicant must be ready to discover various skills. To begin with, one must be ingenious and must have a flair for planning and organising. Another plus point would be the good command over your language, good networking and leadership skills, crisis management abilities and most importantly a sharp business acumen.

Could you please share a few stats about class profile and placements for students? –

We do get student applications on a PAN India basis and also from students belonging to varied educational backgrounds, students working in Event Management and allied industries. This helps us in creating more career opportunities for our students. 

How could applicants know more about the programs and your institute?

We also have on board a seasoned counselling team that guides applicants in selecting varied courses according to their interest levels. They facilitate students in getting the admission formalities done through online and in-person counselling sessions.

What is the admission process?

For admission to any of the event management programmes, candidates must comply with applicable guidelines. The admission process facilitates us in selecting students whose ambitions and abilities align with the event management industry. Our step-by-step admission guide helps us in finding out the appropriate event management programme that fits the student’s ambitions. Candidates are required to connect with our counsellors for admission to the University of Mumbai’s GICED’s BMS in Event Management& PR and Master’s Degree in Event Management. For Bachelor’s and Post-graduate programmes, students are required to undergo evaluations.

The applicants must successfully complete the evaluation process, including Online Test and Interview and or Project Submission. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for a personal interview or telephonic interview in case of an outstation applicant. The main aim of the evaluation process is to check the candidate’s personality traits, academics, goals, and self-awareness levels.

What are the eligibility criteria?

The students enrolling themselves for the UG programmes should be 12th or HSC equivalent cleared while students registering for PG programmes must be graduates from any streams.

Could you please provide a few stats on placements and salaries for the students at your institute?

Event Management is a hub of multiple careers and job opportunities. After the event management course, students can get a job as Event Manager, Promotions Manager, PR Officer, Media Planner, Production Manager, Corporate Communications expert, Marketing Manager. It enables students to open their own event planning firm and join some of the top-rated event management companies. An event manager can earn around 18,000 to 25,000 per month as a fresher. Pay scale can increase with experience and even reach an attractive value of 1-1-5 lakhs per month.
