When moral weakness is coupled with a relatively good Intelligence, as seems to be the case with you, one must use this intelligence when the ethical sense fails.

This trite bit of wisdom cannot teach you any psychotherapy, but you must understand it and simply apply it yourself. If you can make this minimal use of your intelligence, you
are saved.
