Bihar Public Service Commission was set up after the division from the Commission for the States of Orissa and Madhya Pradesh with sub-section 1 of section 261 of the Government of India Act, 1935. It was finally set up on 1st April 1949 and started its operation for the bihar state. The first Chairman of the Commission was Shri Rajandhari Sinha and Shri Radha Krishna Choudhary was the first Secretary to the Commission after that many chairmen and secretary was changed for the commission.
