Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University simply called (PSTU) was founded as Telugu University on 2 December 1985 through an Act of Legislation (Act No. 27 of 1985) by the State Legislature of the then united Andhra Pradesh. Dr N T Rama Rao is the developer as well as the first Chancellor of the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. At present time, the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Chancellor is E S L Narasimhan and the Vice Chancellor is S V Sathyanarayana.
The campus is of the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University to be found at Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University is listed as one of the few Indian language universities in India. Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University has five campuses in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh namely Lalita Kalaatoranam Hyderabad, Nannaya Pranganam Rajahmundry, Palkuriki Somanatha Pranganam Srisailam, Potana Pranganam Warangal and Shri Siddhendra Yogi Pranganam Kuchipudi.
