Hot Fun in the Summer – Hot Honey Bourbon Lemonade Slush

Summer Slushie Time!

When the sun is high in the sky and the Dog Days of Summer arrive, it’s time for a Bourbon Slush! Icy, refreshing and sweet and spicy with the addition of AR’s Southern Hot Honey. So easy to make…here’s how: (Make approximately 2 hours ahead of time so the cocktail has plenty of time to “freeze” and get slushy.)

6 cocktails

6 ounces Bourbon (I used Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon for my recipe)

3 ounces honey

3 ounces AR’s Southern Hot Honey

12 ounce can frozen lemonade

Ice

Mint sprigs and lemon wedges for garnish

To serve: place old-fashioned glasses in freezer to chill 1/2 hour before service

Place the bourbon, honey, hot honey and lemonade in a blender. Blend on medium low speed until combined. Add ice to the blender container to fill the container almost to the top. Blend on medium speed until the mixture is completely blended. Place the mixture in a Tupperware container and seal tightly with top or plastic wrap. Place the container in the freezer for 2 hours. Serve in chilled old-fashioned glasses with mint and lemon wedge garnishes.

Cheers! Becky
