Tequila & Mezcal Pop Up Comes To London

A tequila pop up is coming to London and is promising around fifty tequilas and twenty-five mezcals.

The Liverpool-based bar chain El Bandito plan to bring their love of agave spirits to the city of London next month. Business partners John Ennis and Matt Farrell have previously owned six successful bars in Liverpool and are now hoping to bring their Mexican booze knowledge to the south.

The pop up will be taking residency under The Drunken Monkey in Shoreditch. Around fifty tequilas and twenty-five mezcals are being shipped in specially, including some rare bottles that can’t be found anywhere else in the UK. The bar are serving flights of Tequila, frozen margaritas and, of course, a range cocktails for the fruity people. It might be tough to get a space in this basement bar though as it only has a small capacity of 40.

The El Bandito boys seem to know their stuff, and are hoping to educate Londoners on these much-loved Mexican spirits. But if, during a tasting, they ask me to spit it out after swigging it, then they can think again- I’m a swallower.

El Bandito’s London Tequila pop up is to launch on Wednesday 5th April at 222 Shoreditch Highstreet, E1 6PJ.
