One Click Coffee. The saviour of the subscription?

Whether you’re a Coffee aficionado or a beginner looking to delve into the delightful world of quality coffee, coffee subscription services are on the rise and looking to cater to both the veteran brewer and the uninitiated alike.

I’ve looked into a few subscription services, I’ve even reviewed a few including PACT Coffee, you can check out what I thought about one of their roasts here, however to date it’s all been quite methodical during the selection process, I choose from various levels of pricing, then when I think I might run out, I get a freshly roasted bag delivered to my door.

If you’ve ever had a coffee subscription service, you’ll know they’re amazing if you’re forgetful, but they don’t always leave a lot to the imagination.

One Click Coffee might just be the breath of fresh air you need, so sit back, brew yourself a cuppa while I explain why it might be the best coffee subscription service you can use right now.

Who are One Click Coffee?

Founded in 2018 after Pollyanna, the founder of the business, One Click Coffee has been built on the foundations of both sustainability and discovery. Born from necessity, Pollyanna got a taste for trying a wide variety of coffee as she travelled throughout Europe, but once she arrived home in the UK, it got a bit harder.

As a result, the subscription service was born and Pollyanna and the rest of the team now help coffee lovers across the country bring the best brews straight to your door.

As they say on their website, many of us are often limited by our postcodes, time, family commitments, or just life in general and so it’s hard to track down new and exciting brews outside of your area.

One Click Coffee do the hunting and retrieving for you, meaning your coffee woes can become a thing of the past.

What makes it different?

The main difference to many other similar services is, you don’t know exactly what you’re getting. There’s a lot of trust involved when you sign up to One Click Coffee, but that’s a good thing. You’re trusting their expertise to handpick the best coffees around and I’m so glad I have so far.

The quality I received in my first box is some of the tastiest I’ve had so far and all three types were from roasters I hadn’t heard of before, Darkwoods Coffee and Lost Horizon.

But what does all this cost and is it convenient?

How does it work?

Here’s a quick breakdown of some things you should note:

  • Price – £25 including delivery (UK)
  • Do they deliver throughout the UK? – Yes – they also cover Western and Central Europe!
  • Can you pause the subscription? – Yes
  • Can you gift a subscription? – Yes

What you get in the box

When it comes to an unboxing experience One Click Coffee has it nailed. The box is plain but what’s inside isn’t.

When you open the logo emblazoned lid, you’re presented with branded tissue paper and a One Click Coffee newspaper. The newspaper is one of the best bits of packaging I’ve seen in a while, it’s part of the experience as it has features on the roasters you’ll be trying that month.

For my edition, it was Darkwoods Coffee and Lost Horizon, and this little touch helped me learn some essential facts about each coffee roaster as well as giving me something to read while I brewed.

But what about the coffee you ask?

Well for that you’ll have to check out my review on the Bean Pole. All I can tell you right now is, they’ve been absolute belters, but for brewing tips and taste notes you’ll have to wait I’m afraid.

To buy or not to buy?

At £25 a month it’s quite a steep asking price, but if you truly love coffee I’d suggest you try One Click Coffee at least once, but be warned, 1 month’s subscription could snowball as you’ll want to keep the coffee rolling in from these guys month after month after month.

They’ve well and truly convinced me that subscription services really might be the future if they’re done with the same care and approach as these guys.

In a nutshell, treat yourselves.
