May 2018 is full of fun things happening in the California Wine Country. Special wine tastings, wine seminars, adult day camp, fine art, wine and food pairings, dinners, passport weekends, auctions, and live music. There’s even a special Cinco De Mayo celebration!

Don’t Miss the Fun: May 2018
May 1-3: Adult Wine Camp – Murphys
Spend two days and two nights discovering wine in the heart of the Calaveras County Wine Country.
Participate in hands-on learning experiences working with winery owners and winemakers. Enjoy fabulous wines and food. A totally fun and educational event!
May 5: Junior League of San Diego’s Food & Wine Festival – A Kentucky Derby Affair
Time to cheer on the Run for the Roses. Don your best hat to view the 144th Kentucky Derby in style. Over 50 of San Diego’s best restaurants and beverage purveyors will provide gourmet bites, flavorful wines, top craft and micro brews, and exotic cocktail tastings. Enjoy live music and a silent auction as well.
May 5-6: Hopland Passport Weekend
Celebrate in the Anderson Valley. Enjoy award winning wines from 11:00am to 5:00pm each day. Don’t miss out on Saturday night’s Fire Fighters BBQ and dance, with live music from The Highway Poets. Visit with local winemakers, taste special wines, experience wine and food pairings, and interesting tours.
May 6: Valley Public Radio’s Annual Wine Tasting – Fresno
Experience an afternoon of fun at the beautiful Lester Estate on the San Joaquin River. Sample wine from more than 40 award winning vintners. Enjoy delectable food, live music from Eva Scow, food,
a silent auction, and a raffle to win $1,500! All proceeds from this May 2018 event will benefit Valley Public Radio.
May 5: May Wine Trail Weekend – Madera
Celebrate Cinco De Mayo! The Madera Vintners Association’s family wineries will host the Wine Showcase Days ‘Cinco De Vino’ wine tasting on May 5, 2018 from noon to 4 p.m.
Participating wineries will showcase their best wines, some will have live music and delicious food. If you haven’t yet explored Madera’s wineries, this is the time to do so.
May 12-13: El Dorado Hills Art, Beer, & Wine Festival
This festival will feature top artists from both near and far who will be displaying their fine art along the thoroughfare on Town Center Boulevard. In addition to the wonderful art, there is great food and live music plus some of the area’s most prestigious wineries and award-winning craft breweries pouring tastes each day. The event runs 11am – 5pm daily.
May 17-20: Paso Robles Wine Festival
You don’t want to miss this four day celebration of Paso wine! The Grand Tasting at the city park in downtown Paso Robles will feature more than 70 wineries. It’s an opportunity to sample fabulous Paso wine all at one location. There are special dinners being planned.
More than 100 Paso Robles wineries will be hosting special tastings at their wineries. This is the ideal time to explore the Paso Robles Wine Country!
May 18-20: Zinfest – Lodi
Experience more than 200 handcrafted wines from over 40 Lodi wineries. This popular event takes place annually at Lodi Lake, which is located along the scenic Mokelumne River. Attend wine seminars and cooking classes. Browse the handcrafted merchandise available to purchase. Experience the local cuisine. Listen to live music as you sip award winning Zinfandel.
May 19-20: 27th Annual Downtown Livermore Street Fest
The Livermore Wine Country Downtown Street Fest is the largest celebration of wine, craft brews, arts, crafts, shopping, dining, entertainment and hometown charm in the East Bay!
Browse the special vendors as well as unique downtown shops and restaurants. Fun for the entire family in May 2018!
May 19-20: Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival
The Anderson Valley is uniquely suited for growing outstanding Pinot Noir grapes. This three day festival is devoted to Pinot Noir wines exclusively produce from Anderson Valley grapes. For the first time this year, attendees are invited to stay over. Bring your tent or rv; or make arrangements to stay in a teepee or cabin.
Taste incredible Pinot Noir surrounded by redwoods. Enjoy live music, special dinners, workshops, and both a live and a silent auction.
May 25-27: BottleRock Music & Food Festival – Napa Valley
BottleRock is the ultimate music festival that takes places in the Napa Valley each year. This year will feature Bruno Mars, The Killers, Muse, and many more. It’s a music festival like no other!
Drink Napa’s amazing wines paired with delicious bites from Napa’s finest chefs. Also available will be handcrafted beer, bourbon, and craft cocktails.
May 26: May 27: 12th Annual Art & Wine Festival – Mariposa
It’s time for fine art and great wine in the Sierra Foothills near Yosemite. It’s a great way to spend the afternoon. The artists will be presenting their unique wares while winemaker will provide a variety of great wines for you to try. Enjoy delicious wines as you listen to soft jazz in the scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains.
