Kevin Durant Speaks With Brooklyn Nets Ownership, Wants a Trade

Kevin Durant recently met with Brooklyn Nets Ownership about his displeasure with the franchise. He has said to them either keep him or fire general manager Sean Marks and head coach Steven Nash. However, didn’t Durant want Nash with them in the first place? That is the most ironic thing about all of this.

Sports betting picks might change entirely if Kevin Durant is traded away from the Brooklyn Nets. It appears as if ownership has the backs of Steve Nash and Sean Marks. Who are some of the teams that could get Kevin Durant?

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have been rumored for Kevin Durant. Brooklyn Nets want at least Jaylen Brown in return, and there have been some rumors about Jayson Tatum as well in a trade. Boston probably wouldn’t want to do that. They were only two wins away from winning the NBA Finals last season with a very young team.

Durant is injury prone and may not have many years left in the NBA. Tatum and Brown have many light years ahead of them. They are just 24 and 25 years old. There are also other supporting players on the Boston Celtics roster. There is no way Brad Stevens would make a trade like that.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat were the first seed in the Eastern Conference a season ago. Miami has some interesting pieces like Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro. It may not be an All-Star caliber return, but that isn’t a terrible return. Miami has Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. They would not be available via trade.

Kyle Lowry would maybe have to go back via trade because of the salary cap. He was not reliable for Miami last season anyways because he was always injury-prone. Gabe Vincent was playing in more games than him. Kevin Durant may not necessarily put the Miami Heat over the top anyways.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team that’s happy where their rebuild is going, but they have pieces to trade. Other than Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, and Jarrett Allen, everyone else would probably be expendable on the roster. Kevin Love might be the other player that might not be traded.

Cedi Osman, Collin Sexton, and Caris LeVert would be a part of a potential package, and that might not be a bad one either. However, would Koby Altman, the President of Basketball Operations, want to ruin something that has the potential to be very good?

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors and general manager Bob Myers would probably not want to touch Kevin Durant now. Golden State feels like they are in a good spot as a franchise after a championship season. The Warriors will have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green as their nucleus for some time.

Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, James Wiseman, and Andrew Wiggins would maybe potentially trade chips, but Golden State wants to keep them so they don’t demoralize their future for head coach Steve Kerr.

Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns had the top record in the NBA a season ago but failed to get past the second round, where they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in seven games. Phoenix would love not to give up Devin Booker or Chris Paul. The Brooklyn Nets would want Devin Booker, and the Suns front office and James Jones would tell them to go jump in a lake.

Cameron Johnson, Mikal Bridges, and DeAndre Ayton wouldn’t be a bad return for the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant. Head coach Monty Williams wouldn’t probably mind that.

Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks need a number two option for Luka Doncic. Dallas reached the Western Conference Finals before losing to the Golden State Warriors in five games last season. Owner Mark Cuban hasn’t done enough. They do have Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Maxi Kleber but lost Jalen Brunson to the New York Knicks in the offseason via free agency.
