How to activate Vodafone 4G services ?

1. First you need to visit Vodafone Store and give your contact details. Vodafone will send their customer service executive to your office or home. The CSE will come at the address given by you for the demostration of 4G LTE service before you order for it. He will resolve all your queries regarding to 4G service and activation.

2. You will get a new Vodafone 4G LTE activated number.

3. Send SMS SIMEX <19 digit SIM number> to 55199.

4. SMS last 6 digits to 55199 when you are asked to do so.

5. Do remember that if the last 6 digits match the first 19 digits mentioned in step 3, your new SIM will be activated in 20 minutes.

6. After successful SIMEX, you need to follow the steps mentioned below to activate 4G Service on your smartphone. If you are a prepaid mobile customer, make sure you have sufficient talktime on your phone.

7. First of all Turn Mobile Data On.

8. Then you need to enter www in Access Point Name (APN).

9. Finally you need to go to Network mode and select LTE/4G.

10. At last you must check for coverage by looking for ‘LTE’ or ‘4G’ on the signal bar. Once you see any of those, you are connected to Vodafone 4G Service.

How to use Vodafone 4G?

1. Make sure you have a 4G Enabled Mobile Phone or a 4G wireless dongle before you start 4G service.

2. Once you have a 4G Enabled Mobile phone or a 4G wireless dongle, you can get a new Vodafone 4G connection along with USIM (128 bit SIM card) which can be used for 4G service.

3. Once you have Vodafone 4G Connection you can activate the Vodafone 4G LTE service and you may choose your data/tariff plan as desired.

Vodafone 4G Plans, Tariffs and Internet Speed

Vodafone 4G is now available on both prepaid & postpaid connections.

Vodafone has already been offering 4G services in Kerala. Vodafone 4G services has recently been launched in the state of Karnataka. The company does not offer a lot of 4G data plans in Karnataka at present, so we are giving its 4G internet plans available.

Vodafone also offers heavy 4G usage plans with 10 GB and 20 GB with a price of Rs. 1,505 and Rs. 2,499 respectively. Theoretically Vodafone 4G service speed go up to 100Mbps, but practically this 4G speed should be in between 5Mbps to 10Mbps.

At present there are only two devices provided by Vodafone in India :

Advantages

1. Very high speed data connectivity.
2. Wireless internet surfing at extremely high speed.
3. High definition (HD) Online gaming and videos.
4. High speed downloading and uploading.
5. Make internet video calls through Skype, Gtalk etc without interruption.

Disadvantages

1. To use 4G Service a 4G enabled mobile phone is required.
2. You can not upgrade/update your existing prepaid SIM and connection to 4G. You need to apply for a new number SIM for 4G service.
3. You can not make Voice calls and send SMS over 4G service or connection.
