Carmel by-the-Sea is beautiful and not just for old people anymore. With wine tasting (plus honey and olive oil tasting), art, live music, mindfulness sessions and brisk hikes/walks to and from the beach (downhill and uphill), there's a lot to explore whether you're 27, 72 or anything in between. Age is just a number in this Central California vacation town that reminded me a bit of coastal Europe with its Gaui-style architecture and cobblestone roads.
Brunch at La Bicyclette. Sip some vino at Silvestri Vineyards and don't forget to stop in for a sweet treat at Carmel Honey Company, conceptualized by a young student whose parents run the brick and mortar shop while he's at school. I wrote about curating your own Carmel experience for TravelPulse and am sharing a few pics from my trip below.
