Bagumbayan, a distinct part of Quezon City is currently in the phase of becoming well-served. It seems that booking a hotel in this area is starting to become a challenge because of growing options. It used to be that hotels couldn't be seen here a few decades ago and so it was usually ignored by tourists. With C5 giving motorists from the international airport a great excuse to veer from Makati City, things changed. As of September, 2017, the newest hospitality player to add to this development -- The Cirque Serviced Residences -- just opened here, at the border of Pasig City.
Where It Is Located
The Cirque Serviced Residences can be found in the quaint enclave of Circulo Verde. It's accessible from Pasig City via Caruncho Road and C5. Possible guests can also come from San Juan City via Ortigas Avenue Extension and the rest of Quezon City via Katipunan Avenue. In essence, it's at the heart of a well developed side of Metro Manila which makes it an exciting lodging where other hotels have started to become all too predictable. It currently has more than 40 rooms, but the total number can still increase as more and more discriminating travelers choose this property over other ones in the metro where traffic is considered to be insane.
I remember more than a decade ago, it was at the same site of Circulo Verde before it was even developed where I experienced my first zipline ride. And, boy, was it a memorable one because it was a hundred feet from the ground! Proof of that is the photo that I currently use for my "Experience!" section of this blog (see small photo above).

What Eco-Green Concept It Promotes
The community living concept hotel promotes eco-green living through its Eco-carat Tiles, a building material from Japan that's also known as "breathing walls". The revolutionary tiles control room humidity, reduce foul odors and neutralize harmful substances from other construction materials. At the hotel, it can be easily spotted at the lobby when you check in and it's seamlessly designed inside all of the guestrooms as wall accents, even inside the spacious bathroom. Those with asthma can breathe a little better and kids can be guaranteed of an indoor-outdoor climate that's healthy.
How Pet Dogs Are Welcomed
The hotel is also one of four other ones in Metro Manila to finally allow guests' pet dogs inside their booked rooms. There is a set of preferences for this policy, though, as the pet size is normally small and medium-sized dogs. And if you're an advocate of the aspin, you and your pet can finally unwind here. There's even a Hachi Park where dogs can be walked.

Which Room Type To Book
For my recent visit of The Cirque Serviced Residences, I had the chance to stay at the stylish 1-Bedroom Loft (Promo Rate of Php5,750; For updated rates, check here) which has an interesting brick wall accent by the staircase. The 64 square meter-room is known to have been inspired by Norwegian design which takes storage to a level of decor. The concept is basically a space that's festooned with a storage piece to intentionally be a design focal point. It also involves using hues of blue as accent color against white interiors. Part of the trend in Nordic design is the use of giant paper lanterns that both serve as a chandelier and a tribute to Asian-inspired etherealness. This design sense can be seen inside my booked room as a whimsical installation atop the staircase.
During my stay, the community living concept was palpable inside the room as it didn't feel like a hotel. The view was spectacular from the kitchen and dining area as much as it was in the upper level that it makes loft-living truly sought-after for staycations and long stays.

The air-conditioned room is equipped with a Queen Bed that has a sensational view of Eastwood City and neighboring Pasig City. Aside from being great for overnight vacations, it's also perfect for long stays as it has a fully-equipped kitchen for cooking, including a coffee-maker, stove, microwave, refrigerator, utensils and kitchenware. It also has a washer and dryer, ironing board and flat iron. Guests with Netflix accounts can also have a hoot using the 50-inch smart television that also has access to cable TV.
As a guest, I had access to complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, local calls and the hotel's variety of amenities like the swimming pool, gym, bike park, jogging path, basketball court, Hachi Park for dogs, the nearby Industria Mall and parking.

The same amenities are accessible to guests of the hotel's other room types that include the 51 square meter-1-Bedroom Flat (Twin Beds and an expansive terrace; Promo Rate of Php4,800; For updated rates, check here) and the 69 square meter-2-Bedroom Suite (Perfect for a group of four guests; Promo Rate of Php7,200; For updated rates, check here).
Where To Eat Out
Since the hotel is very much part of the community living space where it can be found, it also has adopted the enclave's Industria Mall as its current F&B facility where a variety of dining spots is located. I actually had my complimentary breakfast at a high-end version of the neighborhood Kambal Pandesal. At Industria, it's called Kambal Pandesal Bakery + Cafe and it doesn't only serve Filipino-favorite baked treats like Pan De Coco. It also serves cappuccino and other coffee types including brewed coffee. It also has set meals for breakfast that include Beef Tapa which was what I had.

For lunch, I ordered a chicken meal at the 24-hour Chill Top where the unobstructed view of the metro looked so priceless.
As for dinner, I visited Chef & Brewer where a live band complemented my meal of a stack of chicken wings, Pork Binagoongan and Sinigang Na Hipon.
In-Room Massage By 2 Hands Massage
During my stay, I also tried the hotel's affiliate spa -- 2 Hands Massage -- that has a base in the nearby Eastwood City. The service was in-room and is scheduled ahead of time after check-in. To complement my relaxing stay, I had the 30-minute foot spa which entailed a massage of both of my feet and legs.

If Makati City or Pasay City's high-end reputation has been giving you less and less choices of a stress-free vacation in Metro Manila, the border of Quezon City and Pasig City can probably lure you to stay for an eco-green community living concept experience. The Cirque Serviced Residences is leading the way in such an effort in this side of the metro anyway. All it needs is you.
