Huron County Health Department Warns of Exposure Sites, Breaks the 100 Covid-19 Case Mark

The Huron County Health Department reports possible community exposure sites that were visited by a group of patrons between the hours of 8 pm, and 12:30 am on Saturday, July 11. From this group, several individuals have tested positive for Covid-19.

The sites are:

  • Ubly Pub, Ubly Michigan
  • Farmers Tavern, Ruth Michigan
  • Smalley’s Bar & Grill, Harbor Beach Michigan
  • The Gathering Place, Bad Axe Michigan

If you were at these locations during this period or shortly thereafter, the Health Department advises that you should self-quarantine, keeping away from family, friends, and roommates as much as possible. The HCHD also urges you to monitor yourself for symptoms of COVID-19 for up to 14 days since the date of exposure. Symptoms include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, headaches, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, congestion, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, and muscle or body aches.

If you have symptoms or visited these locations during the time of exposure, you are urged to be tested. Testing can be done without a doctor’s order at Great Lakes Healthcare Center at 876 North Van Dyke in Bad Axe. Its located behind the KFC and Taco Bell restaurants. Testing is conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm.

COVID-19 is still present and spreading in Michigan and Huron County. Individuals need to remain vigilant, wear a mask, practice social distancing, and continue good hygiene, such as washing your hands frequently. Anyone could have COVID-19 and could carry and spread the virus without symptoms. Everyone needs to take precautions to keep infections down and allow businesses to stay open.

Huron County Breaks the 100 COVID-19 Case Threshold

Newsbreak.com is reporting that Huron County Michigan is now tallying 103 Covid-19 cases as of July 22. They cite reports of confirmed numbers (e.g., cases, tests, and recoveries) aggregated from official government sites and released records, like the NHC, ECDC, CDC, and World Health Organization.

Officially, the Huron County Health Departments Dashboard is reporting 77 confirmed cases as of July 17th.
