Colorado - Hot Springs

There are a lot of Hot Springs in Colorado.  They range from ones that look like swimming pools to a nature setting.  If you are adventurous, some let you soak naked.  One that we liked was Strawberry Park.  It mixed hot water from a spring with cold water from a creek.  Apparently there are times during the week when clothing is optional.

For a different experience, there is the sulfur baths.  These are hot springs with a lot of sulfur in the water.  They are supposed to be very good for you.  But the water smells like rotten eggs.  Even after you wash several times, expect your skin to have a faint rotten egg spell for a couple of days afterwards.

Hot Sulfur Springs Resort

Hot Sulfur Springs Resort has a long history.  There are a lot of baths that as you can see range from junkyard Jacuzzi to swimming pool to nature setting.  Each is at a different temperature. While were were there we wanted to get a massage.  Unfortunately, they only have one masseuse/masseur who was usually booked days in advance.

Although it was ina interesting experience, I am not sure we will do a sulfur bath a second time.  We didn't like the lingering smell on our skin.
