Day 01 – Colombo

Sri Lanka Itinerary 2 Weeks

You will be met by a representative at the Airport and transferred directly to your Hotel in Colombo. A hotel can be organised in Colombo based on your choice or we have a set of Hotels available which offers competitive prices.

Day 02 – 22nd November 2013 – Colombo

Day 03 – Colombo – Habarana

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to your hotel in Habarana and check-in & relax at the hotel.

Overnight stay at Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana (Superior Room) or a Hotel of your choice.

Day 04 –Habarana – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya – Habarana

Sri Lanka Itinerary 2 Weeks

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.

*Polonnaruwa – A “World Heritage Site” and was the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th – 13th Centuries, contains some spectacular statues.

Enjoy a 4 X 4 jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park & Transfer back to the hotel

*Minneriya National Park -This famous National Park with 8889 hectares in extent is famous for its large population of elephants.

Day 05 – Habarana – Sigiriya – Habarana

Have breakfast at the hotel and be ready climb the world famous Sigiriya Rock.

*Sigiriya – Sigiriya perhaps is the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress.

Day 06 – Habarana – Dambulla – Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to your hotel in Kandy via Dambulla Cave Temples. Upon reaching Kandy, check-in & relax at the hotel. In the evening, you will be taken to a cultural show featuring various dance types of Sri Lanka.

*Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – Temple of tooth which is also known as Dalada Maligawa is the most famous place to visit in Kandy. Overnight stay at Hotel Suisse, Kandy (Standard Room)

Day 07 – Kandy – Pinnawala – Peradeniya – Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

*Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage – The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs and 1330-1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs and 1400-1430 hrs when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.

Transfer back to your hotel in Kandy via the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

*Royal Botanical Gardens – 147 acres in extent; this most famous garden in Kandy was started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy.

Day 08 – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, transfer to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya, witnessing the breathtaking Hill Country.

Overnight stay at Jetwing St Andrews, Nuwara Eliya (Superior Room)

Day 09 – Nuwara Eliya – Horton Plains – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya, enjoy a trek in the Horton Plains National Park.

*Horton Plains National Park – Initially known as Mahaeliya, it became Horton Plains after Sir Robert Horton, British Governor from 1831- 1837. Horton Plains became a Nature Reserve in 1969 and upgraded as a National Park in 1988 due to its unique watershed and bio-diversity values Transfer back to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Overnight stay at Jetwing St Andrews, Nuwara Eliya (Superior Room)

Note – Kandy & Nuwara Eliya can be identified as the most popular two places in Hill Country Sri Lanka and should be definitely part of the Sri Lanka Itineraries.

Day 10 – Nuwara Eliya – Yala

After breakfast at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya, transfer to your hotel in Yala. Overnight stay at Cinnamon Wild, Yala

Day 11 –Yala

Yala National Park Sri Lanka Itinerary

After breakfast from the hotel, transfer to the Yala National Park for 4 X 4 jeep safari.

*Yala National Park – This is most famous and well developed National Park for wild animal and birds. Wild animals include Elephants in herds of varying sizes, Leopards, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Crocodile, Peacocks, Jackal, Sloth Bear and other animals.

Transfer back to hotel, and relax.

Overnight stay at Cinnamon Wild, Yala

Day 12 to Day 15 – Enjoy a Beach Holiday as part o Your Sri Lanka Itinerary 2 Weeks

Day 12 Yala – Bentota

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Bentota for your most awaited Beach Holiday Itinerary in Sri Lanka.

Day 12 to Day 15 – Hikkaduwa

Enjoy your stay beach stay.

Overnight stay at Dalmanuta Gardens, Bentota

Day 15 – Bentota – Airport

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the International Airport for your flight back home.
