However, when exploring Israel it is paramount to set aside enough time to get off the beaten path and explore more of the country. Don’t forget to try all the Israeli food specials. Eat hummus, shaksouka, cheese stuffed pastries, malabi and kanafeh, falafel, kebabs, olives, chicken, stuffed cabbage, lahmacun, charred eggplant & olive oil that represent just a few of the local Israeli cuisines.
You should also add on your itinerary some Christian sites, some of which are on the West Bank, such as Sheppard’s Field, the Jordan River and the fallen walls of Jericho.
Add more natural and historical attractions like Rosh Hanikra, Masada, Caesarea, Golan Heights, Sea of Galilee, Banias Reserve, Mount Bental, Mount Precipice, Haifa, Bahá’í gardens.
