The emirate is bit conservative so getting intimate in public places could make you pay some penalty and imprisonment as well. Clicking photographs of women, harassing them or use of illegal or absurd words is a severe crime and could lead to an imprisonment and fine. So, it is worth to know all the laws and penalties of Dubai beforehand.

Some Tips for Women Travelers

Dubai is very safe for women. This country has some traditional values which include that women should not travel alone. So you must respect them. The fact that Dubai is more radical than others cannot be denied but still it is an Islamic state and stick to traditional ethics. While doing the packing, keep in mind not to carry the one which could displease the local sensibility. Women should wear clothes covering entire body from shoulders to knees. Reveling clothes are not at all tolerated in malls and other public places. Signs outside such places will make you remind again and again about clothing sense. Tees having short sleeves and three-quarter trousers are legal. The dress code has to be strictly followed during the Mosque visit. Clothes covering the entire body should be worn and if you are found not following the law they will make you wear a long gown and a black scarf covering your head.
