Four Must Sees in Las Vegas

When most people think of Las Vegas, they immediately think of the casinos lining the strip. Though the strip, which runs right through the heart of the city, is a popular tourist attraction, the city offers many more things to see and do. Whether you plan your first trip to Vegas or you went multiple times in the past, there are some four things everyone should see or do both on the strip and off.

Stratosphere Thrills and Chills

Some people know the Stratosphere as a popular hotel and casino, but others know this amazing local landmark for the thrills and chills found on its roof. Where else in the world can you hop on a roller coaster that takes you right to the edge and offers unbelievable views of the city? The Stratosphere is home to four different thrill rides that will send chills up and down your spine. Those looking for something even more daring can try bungee jumping off the roof of the hotel.

Live Shows

You absolutely cannot visit Las Vegas without taking in at least one show. Big name celebrities headlined major shows there over the years. While you can no longer see Elvis Presley swinging his hips on the stage, you can take in a show featuring your favorite singers, dancers, actors and even magicians. This Steve Wynn article offers an inside look at a new show the hotel magnate created, but you’ll also find plenty of other shows taking place up and down the strip.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Have you ever watched a NASCAR race and wished you could slip behind the wheel of one of those cars? Now is your chance. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is home to a branch of the Richard Petty Driving Experience, which uses real race cars once driven by some of your favorite racers. You have the option of riding in the passenger seat with a trained driver or taking a short class and hitting the track in the driver’s seat.

Red Rock Canyon

When you want a break from the lights and flash of the city, head over to Red Rock Canyon. Also known as the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area, it is less than 20 minutes from the strip. You can easily spend the entire day watching the plants and wildlife that call the area home. Red Rock Canyon also offers rock climbing and other fun activities for your group.

Las Vegas offers more than just casinos, bars and restaurants. Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Stratosphere and live shows let you experience the best of the city and will give you plenty of memories of your trip.
