Korean Kimchi With Gaozi Dumplings

KOREAN MIXED....

The youngsters love Korean food, they made their own "kimchi" and brought a big jar home.  They taught me how to enjoy eating it and with addition to the Kimchi soup previously, this time they made Dumplings aka Gaozi in Chinese.

To make the dumplings, they need minced meat, chives (ku chai), sesame oil, salt... and what else?? Oh yeah, a packet of Korean/Japanese pastry wrappers.... there are 26 pieces inside a packet.   And here is the hardest part.... wrapping up the Gaozi... I am amazed that my girl can do that... so gently, some more!  I tried with my clumsy fingers.... and ended up getting odd shapes...
These are done by dainty fingers....
Odd shape ones are done by yours truly...
but I have them hidden somewhere... hehehee...
Next.. get the Kimchi Soup boiling....
And then put the dumplings and let them boil again...
Yummy... yummy.... I was salivating by then....
I boiled some a couple of misua bought from Sitiawan.....
First round.... so yummy good!!
Each of us had to eat at least 8 dumplings!!
