Things to do:
From the historic Royal Pump Room Museum, a nod to Harrogate’s days as a spa town, to Theakston’s ‘Old Peculier’ Crime Writing Festival which is held annually in the town and has featured author JK Rowling, there is plenty for people of all ages to see and do.

Visit the Turkish Baths in Parliament Street and indulge in a body treatment or catch a show at The Royal Hall- it’s easy to see why the town attracts thousands of visitors each year. If shopping is more your thing, fear not because you’ll find a great mixture of high st and upmarket brands. Then, once you’ve finished, head on over to the famous Betty’s Tea Room for a warm beverage and a scone- perfect!

Best addresses
Regent Parade, York Place and The Oval make up some of the most desirable addresses in the town where semi-detached and terraced houses sell for a couple of million. Fulwith Mill on Harrogate’s south side is also affluent with houses selling for up to £3 million.

There’s also the newly renovated The Old Police Station Harrogate, an iconic building in the centre that has recently been transformed into a range of luxury houses and apartments for sale with prices for these stunning properties reaching upwards of £1m.

Travel
Harrogate boasts good rail links with its own station located in the centre of the town and a train trip to London can be completed in just a couple of hours whilst it’s 30 mins to big cities like Leeds.

Drive on the A61 and you’ll also reach Leeds within half an hour by Car or head down the M1 to visit the Midlands or the South.

Food and Drink
Aside from the famous Betty’s, Harrogate is also home to some of the finest eateries in the UK. From the Michelin-starred The Yorke Arms, to independent cafes and bars, the town has adopted a more cosmopolitan vibe over the last few decades but the Yorkshire charm and endurance is still retained.
