Hastings RV Park & Campground, Hastings, Nebraska

The small Midwestern town of Hastings is located south of I-80 ans is home to the Kool-Aid Museum and the Sodbusters, a Collegiate Summer Baseball League team. We decided to stay a night here to see the team play in a nice stadium in town. The park is located on the outskirts of town in a quiet area surrounded by cornfields. If your mind has painted a picturesque landscape of a cute RV park in the middle of a cornfield, get out a new canvas. This park doesn't offer much and was a disappointment to us. The grounds are weedy and level gravel pads are about as close together as you can get. A few trees spot the park, but expect to use your awning to get much shade. The office is unwelcoming with its dark, dingy interior and random broken ice cream coolers and washing machines scattered around the room. Staff was friendly and helpful, but when we went to do laundry, he informed us that the dryers don't work. The game room is meager and isn't enticing to kids in any way. We did feel safe overnight, but felt like the park lacked any ambience amd was occupied solely by long term residents.
