Top things to do at Disney Springs

Top things to do at Disney Springs

We visited Disney this year and after doing so much research on what rides we wanted to fast track and what parks to visit, Disney Springs really was unknown to us when we arrived but turned out to be our favorite place to visit, especially at night.

It was the top place for food, shops and entertainment and there was always something to do for everybody.

Disney Springs Entertainment

On our first trip to Disney Springs we came across a stunning vintage American car by the lake. We stopped to take a photo thinking this was just a prop but then noticed that it drove straight into the lake! We were informed by the worker that we were able to purchase a boat ride in the amphicar so we headed straight to the Boathouse which was the store right next to it and got ourselves two tickets.

This was by far one of our favourite moments of our whole Disney trip and such a special memory. It’s not every day you see a car floating on a lake! These dream boats are piloted by their very own captain. We purchased a 10 minute boat ride which was plenty of time for us and it was $75 per person. There was a photographer who took photo’s of us by the car with the captain and then also whilst we were out on the water. We were under the impression that we would have to purchase the photos from the Boathouse once our ride was over but as we had Disney memory makers we just scanned our magic bands and got them all for free! We would massively recommend this once in a lifetime experience to anyone visiting Disney Springs.

We spent one of our favourite evenings in the Splitsville Luxury Lanes which is a really cool vintage American style bowling centre. We found this a great place to spend a few hours relaxing and having fun.

After the bowling we headed on to the AMC Dine-in theatre. This was an amazing experience with very delicious food and milkshakes!! The only let down of this for us was the air con, it was SO cold in there! Due to the humidity and heat outside we really did feel the cold even more, it was cold to the point that it was uncomfortable which was a shame.

On our final evening of our holiday we visited Cirque Du Soleil. We pre booked tickets for this. The show was unbelievable! The high acrobatic and theatrical show is not one to be missed. It was a massive highlight of our holiday and we were so happy we got to visit as it was only showing in Disney Springs until the end of 2017 so we caught it just in time.

There are also plenty of street acts scattered around in the evenings including musicians and comedy acts. We stopped to watch one of the comedy acts one evening and it was well worth it, they were hilarious!

Disney Springs Shopping

Disney Springs is home to a variety of different shops, all 109 of them, of all different types including the worlds largest Disney Store. It’s very hard to visit there and not come away with lots of merchandise!! When we did our massive merchandise shopping we used our Monzo travel card and we couldn’t recommend this enough to people traveling out of the UK to keep your money safe and easy to use top-up card.

There is a lego store with amazing giant lego sculptures outside.

We didn’t do much shopping here other than in the Disney store but did notice some major brands were available to those who fancied a good shop.

Disney Springs Food

We ate some of our favourite meals in Disney Springs. There are a variety of different restaurants for all tastes. We were looking particularly for ones which were on the Disney quick service dining plan.

The quick service dining plan restaurants that we visited here were –

  • Wolfgang Puck Express At Disney Springs Marketplace
  • D-Luxe burger (Delicious milkshakes!!)

The only other evening that we ate at Disney Springs was when we ate in the AMC dine-in theatre and we would highly recommend the food here too it was very good quality.

We couldn’t recommend Disney Springs enough. It’s the best place to spend evenings away from the busy days at the parks. We wish we had a Disney Springs at home!! Thanks for taking the time to read our blog post, please let us know your thoughts in the comments. x
