Flåm is a village in southwestern Norway, in an area known for its fjords. It sits at the end of Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the vast Sognefjord. The dramatic Stegastein viewing platform juts out high above the Aurlandsfjord. South of Flåm Harbor, the 17th-century wooden Flåm Church lies in the valley. The Flåm Railway offers valley and waterfall views as it climbs to a station on the Hardangervidda plateau.
The nearest airport is Sogndal Airport Haukåsen, 90 minutes by car from Flåm. Widerøe operates several daily flights to both Bergen and Oslo. The Flåm Railway connects with most trains on the Bergen Line between Oslo and Bergen. The 20-kilometre train journey from the Myrdal high mountain station down to Flåm on the fjord offers you panoramic views of the most beautiful fjord and mountain landscape in Western Norway!
